I have been an athlete ever since I can remember, and because of this, fitness has become a lifestyle for me. I started getting interested in strength and weightlifting when I was 15 years old, and when I turned 16, I took it even more seriously by studying biomechanics and sports nutrition to improve my performance. By the time I turned 18, I decided to major in Nutritional Sciences at a local university. Around the same time, I had begun training two friends who were overweight and wanted to get fit. Once I had finished college, I moved to Pittsburgh and got my CSCS to train people at the JCC.

Tre Brown is a highly experienced and certified personal trainer, specializing in DEKA training. With a solid foundation from NASM and Issa, Tre brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his training sessions. With over 10 years of industry experience, he has successfully guided numerous individuals on their fitness journeys, helping them achieve their goals and surpass their own expectations. Tre's commitment to professional development is evident through his accumulation of over 25 continuing education credits and ensuring he stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. With Tre as your personal trainer, you can expect a dedicated and knowledgeable professional who will guide you toward achieving optimal fitness and unlocking your full potential.

“Pain is just a weakness leaving the body!” My fitness journey began in high school when I started clocking long miles on the cross-country team. I played basketball, softball and tennis (not very well) and had my first gym membership as soon as I could drive myself to the gym! While I have logged countless miles, deadlifts and hours with personal trainers, teaching DEKA classes will be my first formal experience coaching others on their fitness journey. I love group fitness because of the motivation and camaraderie of my peers. Working out isn’t easy but having a great group of people to do it with makes the experience way better!

Sports and fitness have been a part of my life since I was a boy; growing up I played high school sports and eventually played college baseball. Transitioning from a college athlete to Army soldier, I continued to grow my knowledge of health and fitness. While moving through the ranks, I was able to use this knowledge after becoming a Sergeant to lead my team in daily PT drills. I earned my CPT through NASM and was able to obtain my current position at the JCC. I am excited to use my own weight loss and fitness transformation, knowledge and experience to help others in their goals to live a healthier life.

Fitness is more to me than just a necessity to maintain my physical and mental health, it’s a hobby that’s grown into a passion. I started by taking Group Exercise classes at the JCC right after college and loved them so much I got certified to teach them. 12 years later, I am certified in 5 different programs. I love JCC fitness because of the unique community aspect working out at the JCC brings and because I to interact with so many different members along various points in their fitness journey.
