We’re going for the gold at the JCC’s 19th Annual Big Night
celebration on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Big Night Olympics 2025 will be a game-changer. And there’s a reason why we chose our Olympian theme. Next August, our JCC will be hosting the 2025 JCC Maccabi Campus Games® in partnership with the JCC Association and University of Pittsburgh. The 2025 Games will be the first time that participants stay and play on a college campus. The Olympic-style sports competition will bring more than 2,000 participants to Pittsburgh.
Big Night creates the strong foundation that enables the JCC to redefine what’s possible for us to do as a community agency. The vital funds raised through Big Night help ensure that we can seize opportunities like the Maccabi Campus Games as well as continue to offer the community essential programs, services and scholarships. Lights, camera, action–JCC Productions Presents Big Night: HOLLYWOOD!
The JCC’s 17th Annual Big Night will premiere on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the JCC’s Squirrel Hill Studios.
Big Night Hollywood will be an over-the-top extravaganza, live and in person. Everyone will be a star in this larger-than-life production. You’ll walk the red carpet and pose for glamorous photo ops, converging on the set in the Squirrel Hill Studios for dinner and dancing.
Big Night Hollywood is the top box office opportunity to support the JCC—the center of the community. Big Night is the JCC’s biggest fundraising event, and this year’s event is key to sustaining the rebound from nearly 3 years of operations that have been dramatically impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. With the dedicated support of friends, community leaders, philanthropists, corporations, business executives and JCC members, funds raised through Big Night enable individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, religions and financial need to participate in the JCC’s quality programs and services.

Recognizing the unpredictable path of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current spike in active cases, we have made the decision to cancel the raffle and the in-person portion of the 16th Annual Big Night, The Roaring 20s, co-chaired by Marcie and Matthew Weinstein and Sam and Josh Klein and planned for March 5.
However, the JCC is not cancelling Big Night but plans to create a celebration to thank donors and will continue to run the Auction.

Grab your cap and gown, best toga attire or your favorite college sweatshirt! Big Night University invites you to join the Class of 2019 for the college party of the year. Leave the studying at home and celebrate with your friends and classmates at the JCC’s 13th annual Big Night fundraising event.
Expect music from a DJ, a band, dancing, games and libations. Come hungry because this college mixer will have food better than the average dining hall! Big Night University’s campus, the JCC, is the “Quad” of our community. Our party-with-a-purpose “is your chance to ace your service requirement and get some GPA bonus points.
Big Night is the JCC’s biggest fundraising event, providing support for scholarships and programs that enable individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, religious affiliations and financial need to participate in the JCC’s quality programs and services.

Whether you went to your high school prom or wish you had, this is your big chance for a prom re-do. Bring that special someone, come stag or with a bunch of friends. Dust off your tux; squeeze into your old prom dress, show your school spirit with a varsity jacket or simply come as you are. Updo or no-do, it’s up to you.
You’ll dance the night away to music by the best DJ in town and chow down on every munchie you can dream of. Oh yes, our chaperones won’t bust you for drinking the “punch” or at the After Party in the parents’ basement.
This year, we’re thrilled to honor Mardi and Bill Isler. Mardi has been a consultant to the JCC on early childhood and after-school programs. Bill, who serves on the JCC board, is CEO of the Fred Rogers Company and a longtime educator. Their passion for improving the lives of children makes our community a better place. JCC Big Night: Game On, our eighth annual Big Night fundraiser, celebrates the JCC’s important role as a community resource—a gamechanger in the lives of children. Honoring the child in all of us, Game On will be more fun than a Barrel Of Monkeys—filled with music, dancing and enough food to feed the Hungry, Hungry Hippos. As we celebrate our community, we’ll be supporting the JCC’s Annual Fund, which provides scholarships that enable children of all ages to participate in vital programs at the JCC.

2011 - PEACE, LOVE AND THE IKC’S
The JCC of Greater Pittsburgh presents its fifth annual Big Night: Peace, Love & the IKCs, at the Irene Kaufmann Building in Squirrel Hill. Peace, Love & the IKCs fondly recalls the outta sight times of the IKCs (nickname for the Irene Kaufmann Center, the predecessor to the JCC) from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.
This shindig will be the grooviest scene ever, with a DJ spinning tunes, far out food, mellow coffee house, and a silent auction. Music lovers can get down at a late-night Woodstock-style benefit concert by Pittsburgh jam band, Rusted Root.

2009 - SHOWTIME AT THE JCC
Cabaret shows headed by mother and daughter funny ladies from Pittsburgh, Esther and Maxine Lapiduss, were a huge hit at the JCC’s third annual Big Night. Celebrating the JCC’s glorious performing arts history, Big Night was attended by more than 700 guests. Funds raised benefited the JCC’s financial support fund, which provides scholarships and financial assistance vital to many members of our community.

2008 - EKC’S BIG NIGHT
EKC’s Big Night, the JCC’s second annual fundraiser, was attended by more than 600 guests and netted over $100,000, a portion of which supported camp scholarships for families in need.

2007 - MARCH MADNESS
The JCC inaugurated Big Night as an annual fundraising event. More than 600 people attended Big Night, with funds raised benefiting JCC youth programs and the scholarship fund. The fun-filled evening for adults featured a silent auction and entertainment by the popular Gary Racan and the Studio E Band. Amusements included interactive games and big screen televisions broadcasting basketball games, and food by Common Plea.
