A Year to Impact a Lifetime

Diller Teen Fellows is a prestigious yearlong fellowship for high school students interested in exploring topics in leadership, Jewish identity, social justice, and Israel. The Diller program operates in 32 communities in North America, South Africa, Australia, South America, Europe, and Israel to develop future generations of active, effective leaders with strong Jewish identities, commitment to the Jewish people, and a passion for Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World). Pittsburgh launched its first cohort in 2008 in partnership with Pittsburgh’s Partnership Together region in Israel: Karmiel, Misgav.
The Diller Teen Fellows program consists of Sunday workshops once to twice a month, three overnight Shabbatonim (Shabbat weekend retreats), a 10-day home-hosted exchange with our Israeli partnership community, and a 3-week transformative Summer trip in Israel.
The Diller Teen Fellowship is open to Jewish high schoolers in 10th and 11th grades.
We encourage Jews from all backgrounds to apply. Whether you keep kosher or love bacon, speak Hebrew, or have never been to synagogue, you are Jewish enough for Diller.
The Pittsburgh Diller Teen Fellows program is generously supported by the Helen Diller Family Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
Is the Diller Teen Fellows Program right for me?
We encourage people to apply from all races, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, and ranges of Jewish practices and beliefs.
Applicants to the program must:

- Apply to the program while in 9th or 10th grade.
- Have a desire to become a leader and grow into your potential.
- Be passionate about Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) or social justice issues.

Program Cost
The program fee for the entire year, including all weekend programming, overnight experiences, and travel to Israel, is $3,600.
