Agewell at the JCC
AgeWell at the JCC, a nationally accredited Senior Center program offered at the JCC in Squirrel Hill and in South Hills, is a 20-year-old collaborative program of the Jewish Association on Aging, Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and Jewish Family & Community Services, serving more than 10,000 older adult clients and their family caregivers. The goal of the collaboration is to provide seamless delivery of services to Pittsburgh’s older adults, providing support to live as independently as possible.
About AgeWell
AgeWell Pittsburgh is a collaboration between the Jewish Association on Aging, the Jewish Community Center, and JFCS Pittsburgh. With the help of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, the three agencies came together in 2004 to better serve the older adults of the greater Pittsburgh community.
Through cooperation and teamwork, the three agencies could reach more seniors in more efficient and effective ways and achieve their collective goal/mission of helping seniors stay independent in the community for as long as possible. By having one number to reach many programs and services for older adults from several different organizations, AgeWell Pittsburgh serves as the gateway to maintaining the lifestyle seniors would like to keep. AgeWell Pittsburgh assists older adults and caregivers in maintaining a healthy and independent life. Whether you have specific questions or just don’t know where to turn, we can provide answers and support.
AgeWell at the JCC
AgeWell at the JCC provides programs and activities that foster health, enrichment and well-being for older adults. Participants can enjoy kosher or kosher-style lunches, stay fit in a robust schedule of SilverSneakers and AgeWell fitness classes, and take advantage of a myriad of opportunities to learn, socialize and volunteer.
